What this site does with your data

When you select a Telegram export file, the file is read and analyzed by code running in your own browser. The page does not upload the file or any part of its contents to a server, and it does not send chat content to any analytics or third-party service. Results, such as the story cards, are generated on your device. If you download a card, it is saved to your device by your browser.

Because processing happens on your device, closing or reloading the page discards the analysis. We have no copy of your export and cannot recover it for you.

What we do not collect

• We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, phone number or email address to use the tool.
• We do not collect the contents of your chats, contact names, or message text.
• We do not run advertising scripts at the time of writing. Google Analytics is used to measure visits (see below).

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We load Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to measure visits. It receives standard visit information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, language, and referral source. We also record basic actions such as loading a file, generating cards, downloading a card, or sharing a card. These events do not include chat contents, names, filenames, or message text. Google signals and ad personalization are disabled.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. Depending on your location, local laws may require consent for analytics cookies or similar technologies.

Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered as static files through Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, the hosting provider may process standard technical information when you load the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and delivery purposes. We do not use this to identify you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details on how it handles that information.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores your language choice in your browser's local storage. Google Analytics may also set cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visits. If advertising is added later, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

Advertising

We may show third-party advertising in the future to cover running costs. If we do, advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, and this policy will be updated to describe it. Ads would be placed on the site's informational pages and would not have access to the contents of your chat export, which stays in your browser.

Sharing the cards you create

The story cards can include names and statistics from your chats. Once you share a card, anyone who receives it can see what is on it. Use the hide-names option, and think about the other people in the chat before you share. You are responsible for what you choose to publish.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.

Third parties

TG Wrapped is not affiliated with Telegram. Your use of Telegram, including exporting your data from it, is governed by Telegram's own terms and privacy policy.
